Feasibility and project planning
A comprehensive school analysis and project preparation study was conducted to explore the establishment of a Finnish-inspired school in Egypt, guided by the Polar Partners School concept and aligned with Finnish International School standards.
The study assessed the relevance and adaptability of the Finnish education model through the following key activities:
- Market Analysis: Evaluated the educational landscape in the selected region, including stakeholder interests, market demand, consumer behavior, competitive environment, and potential barriers to entry.
- PPEST Analysis: Investigated Pedagogical, Political, Economic, and Social, and Technological factors to inform project design and contextual relevance.
- Educational Recommendations: Proposed tailored Finnish education solutions based on the findings of the preparatory phase.
Key deliverables included:
- A localized concept for a Finnish-Enriched school, adapted from the Polar Partners School concept.
- Strategic recommendations derived from the PPEST analysis.
- A roadmap outlining the steps for school establishment, and a detailed project plan for the second phase, including a timeline, task breakdown, and budget framework.

Enhancing teacher capacities
To support the implementation of the Finnish model, Polar Partners facilitated a series of professional development workshops aimed at enhancing the capacity of local teachers.
The objectives and outcomes of the training included:
- Strengthened understanding of the Finnish educational philosophy and its best practices among academic coordinators and other core team members.
- Enhanced abilities to integrate Finnish pedagogical approaches within the existing school framework.
- Co-creating actionable plans to adapt and apply selected Finnish methodologies and suitable practices in the local context.
